1.16. Overcoming the Traps of Entrepreneurship (3 min.)

At its core, the Nail It Then Scale It process flips the conventional wisdom about how to build a company on its head and helps entrepreneurs do the right things in the right order. It is a remarkably simple process that successful entrepreneurs and new ventures, from Thomas Edison to Intuit and from Cisco to Google, have applied to successfully and repeatedly innovate. We have used it to help new startups, struggling ventures, and large businesses leap forward.

After completing these steps, described in more detail later, you will have a product or service that will be the foundation for a robust business. By the end of the process, you will have validated your market, developed a product customers desperately desire, and be ready to scale a successful business.
